Recommended Applications
Simply put, Auragami can handle any project regardless of scale or complexity. Our flexible LED light sheet has backlit applications from several square inches to a few thousand square feet!
The tight LED pitch of each light sheet allows many forward-facing materials to be evenly backlit, starting at just 10mm of spatial diffusion. You can avoid thick and clumsy backlighting features as Auragami enables extremely low-profile builds. Next, the supreme cuttability allows users to shape the light sheet right at the job site. This feature makes Auragami perfect for installations where the final dimensions are unknown.
Use Auragami® when:
• Final dimensions are unknown or may change

TRAX Reticular Backlighting System
The TRAX Backlighting System is the most advanced reticular array (AKA ladder light) ever created. The 2-foot by 8-foot array is available in several single-color white temperatures, 2700–6500K tunable white, and RGBW (5300K). Like Auragami, TRAX offers UL Listed field-shaping with its snap-to-size LED bars and cut-to-length array.
What makes TRAX great?
Each LED bar provides tool-free snapping increments between every single LED/LED group. The array can be cut to length anywhere along the column of wires. These two features make TRAX the most shapeable reticular product ever created! Medium to large backlighting projects are completed in record time with TRAX's standard building dimensions and built-in mounting system. We've also engineered the TRAX Rail Mounting Kit accessory to further speed up installs, improve accuracy, and help support the array in overhead applications.
This product also carries the best performance specs of its category:
• 24VDC low voltage operation
• Up to an astonishing 9400 lumens per array (tunable white)
• Smartly balanced 86 watts per array
• Category-best 95+ color rendering
• Snap to-size LED bars
• Cut to length array
• IP65 rated for wet locations
• 50,000 hour rated life (over 17 years @ 8 hours of use per day)
• Built-in mounting clips or available Rail Mounting Kit speeds up installs
• Factory customizable: LED type, pitch, size, shape, efficiency, brightness, and more
Recommended Applications:
TRAX is surprisingly nimble for its size but is typically recommended for medium to large-scale applications that allow a small amount of room for spatial diffusion. Typically we see TRAX illuminate projects from a few square feet to any size beyond. The 2-foot by 8-foot size is perfect for use with standard North American material dimensions.
Use TRAX when:
• Final dimensions are unknown or may change
• A field-cuttable UL Listed solution is required
• Needing to backlight medium to large projects quickly
• Needing a rigid mount in overhead applications
• A quick, hassle-free mounting solution is desired
• Looking for an OEM or industrial solution
• Fast delivery is required (ships from Denver, CO)
Typical Application Examples:
• Barrisol & other stretched membrane/fabric ceilings
• Architectural accents, columns, or feature walls
• Entrance ways and exterior building facades
• Billboards and other signage
• Illuminated shower walls
• Faux skylights
Fusion LED Waveguides & LumiSheetTM
Light panels have been around for quite some time and offer a variety of distinct benefits. Each light panel is custom-built to the exact specifications of one's engineer drawings (CAD files) or dimensions. Having the product built to size means it arrives on-site ready to set in place without further modifications – significantly speeding up installs.
These products use a light guide plate to disperse light evenly across the entire panel. Certain forward-facing materials (depending on the level of transparency) may be placed right on top of the product, with no spatial diffusion required. The use of light panels will typically result in the most compact installation of any backlighting product.
Evo-Lite offers LumiSheetTM in several single-color white temperatures, 2700–6500K tunable white, RGB, and RGBW.
In summary, light panels do certain things better than any other lighting technology but can be less capable in some circumstances.
What makes it great?
Light panels excel at creating low-profile backlighting builds. Their design provides greater energy efficiency than most backlighting products due to the science behind the construction. We craft light panels to your exact dimensions so they arrive ready to be placed with zero fuss.
Typical Specifications (can be optimized to preference):
• Consumes ~ 4.4W per foot per lighted side
• 95+ CRI produces authentic colors
• Dimensions as small as 2"x2" or as large as 59" x 118"
• IP22 dry locations only
• Long-rated life of 50,000 hours (over 17 years @ 8 hours of use per day)
• cULus Listed
Use light panels when:
• A compact install is desired
• Backlighting a very transparent material
• Needing a "set it and forget it" option
• You have exact dimensions or engineer drawings (CAD, DXF, DWG)
• Looking for an OEM or industrial solution
• You have 3+ weeks of lead time (built to order)
Recommended Applications:
• Backlit stone, engineered materials, and anything else
• Horizontal surfaces: countertops, bars, tables
• Vertical surfaces: accent walls, fireplace surrounds, backsplashes
• Custom lighting fixtures
• Reception desks
• Corporate lobbies, interiors, elevator cabs
• Signage, retail displays, and logos
Choosing a product based on application size
While most of our product line is relatively agile, we have found that certain products are easier to work with depending on the scale of the application.
• Small projects: Auragami or Light Panels
• Medium projects: Auragami, TRAX, or Light Panels
• Large projects: TRAX or Auragami
Choosing a product based on installation space
When LEDs are closer together, the light diffuses more evenly. Smooth diffusion can be accomplished in a few ways. The first way is to add more space between the LEDs and the forward-facing material. This is called spatial diffusion. The other way is to add a diffusion layer, such as a semi-transparent acrylic sheet. This is called optical diffusion. This method evens out the lighting before it reaches the forward-facing material.
Keep in mind that some forward-facing materials may not require any diffusion methods. Other materials may be very transparent or even clear and most often will require a layer of optical diffusion. This is why it is essential to test backlight your material with a sample before ordering.
Be aware that adding spatial or optical diffusion will increase the thickness of your application. No matter how much room you have in your install, the Evo-Lite team will be able to configure the perfect solution.
In summary
You're in good hands no matter what challenges your project presents. Evo-Lite is the most experience backlighting team in North America and we are always available to help turn your vision into a reality.
