Designed and manufactured better.

Many lighting providers simply buy a ready-made product off a manufacturer's shelf and mark it up. This means that the product is what the factory thinks it should be – mainly what corners can be cut to achieve the best profit margin. In the end, you have a factory that has no interaction with the end users, determining what the end users "need." See the problem?

We apply our experience to the development of all our products, and Auragami is an obvious example of that. The first generation of the Auragami Light Sheet entered the market as one of the best options available - winning an IES Progress Report Selection. Over the next few years, we gathered feedback and started to envision what the next evolution of light sheets would look like.

After many months of collaboration, engineering, and testing, we released Auragami Gen 2 (AG2). We craft it using state-of-the-art manufacturing technology - resulting in extraordinary quality and consistency.

Better features & usability

Let's look at Auragami and how it differs from other products in the light sheet category. The second generation offers several innovations.

• Patented IP67 connector design: liquid and corrosion-resistant. Provides bullet-proof longevity and reliability in any environment.
• The most protective conformal coating ever applied to a light sheet offers supreme liquid and damage resistance.
• Double cutline path makes cutting sheets to size easy and user-friendly.

Beyond the new features of AG2, many other factors set it apart. Our strict LED binning process ensures that each LED performs consistently across the product and throughout all brightness levels. Other competitors ignore the binning process, resulting in inconsistent color and brightness (ie: some LEDs fail to illuminate at low light levels). This may save them a few pennies but may also disappoint the end user or even result in costly repairs down the road.

Auragami offers 1x1 cutting increments. Every LED/LED group can be cut or removed. This ability makes it easy to create highly accurate shapes right up the edge of the feature. It also makes it easy to avoid obstructions in the installation area. While many manufacturers have followed our lead, there are still numerous light sheets out there that have large cutting increments, which results in inconsistent backlighting and is difficult to work with.

Next is Auragami's unique UL Listing. We worked extensively with  UL Solutions to get a special, unique listing that states that Auragami retains its UL Listing when cut. Many manufacturers have copied our marketing verbiage to claim this, and we can't say for sure, but we doubt that this special designation can be found in their light sheet's UL file.

Another benefit built into our specific UL Listing is the customization ability. Again, this was extremely difficult to achieve, and it took many months of communication and discussion with UL. To our knowledge, only Auragami can be customized at the factory level without the need for UL recertification. Other companies will need to go through the lengthy and expensive recertification process (most likely passing these costs onto you) if they want to customize anything.

Being able to customize the product is an excellent benefit for the customer. Product customization can help lower project costs, speed up installations, and even significantly reduce operating costs. It's also an easy way to comply with green building (efficiency) classifications such as Title24 or EcoDesign requirements.

Another standout feature exclusive to Auragami Gen 2 is the expanded Tunable White range. Choose from relaxing 1800K candlelight to energizing 6500Kbright white. You can also customize the sheet to cover any color temperature range you prefer!

Next up is Auragami's balanced performance. Other companies boost the light sheet brightness, requiring more wattage to operate. With our extensive experience, we understand exactly how bright backlit applications should be, eliminating the excess. Auragami provides ample brightness (and smooth dimming) without unnecessary energy consumption.

An additional benefit of this balance is that users can connect more light sheets per circuit, resulting in more area coverage. 24VDC Class 2 circuits are 96 watts. Auragami Gen 2 offers 1720 lumens at 17.2 watts per sheet. This means that you can cover 10 square feet (5 full light sheets) in one circuit while still leaving headroom for power supply longevity.
